Artist's Bio

JoAnne Alford-Seymour was born in 1951 in Ottawa, Canada, to a teacher and a government clerk. Both her parents and public school art teacher encouraged her to study art in high school and college.

After attending the Sheridan Institute for Design, she began an 11 year career with the Ottawa Hospital in the field of Design and Medical Illustration.

She then attended Algonquin College for Animation, and worked in that field for 10 years.

Always needing to express herself through drawing and painting, JoAnne now finds that abstract art is her most satisfying outlet.
